About
My name is Ashley Johnston, and I’m a 5th grade teacher at Trinity School in Atlanta, Georgia. I started working in the business world after college, but quickly realized my heart is in the classroom and made the switch to education. As someone who was fortunate to have passionate, engaging teachers throughout my own schooling, I strive to be the same for my students. I love to share my own passion for learning and exploring the world with my students. Seeing and hearing their curiosity and musings teach me so much every day about the joy we can all find in the learning process.
I hope this blog will serve as a place where I can interact with my students, hear their thoughts, and engage in conversation as a class outside of the normal school routine. I hope the students’ experience this year will serve as a launching pad for them to start sharing their thoughts and ideas with the world community through the online tools we have at our disposal. I’m looking forward to seeing where the year takes us!
