If I were Bud I’d feel sometimes scared and some times happy, and relived after scared.I also would feel confidant if I were Bud when he set of for Grand Rapids. I’d feel lonely if I were Bud because I wouldn’t have anybody to talk to. Paul Christopher Curtis wanted the readers to feel how Bud feels. He wanted us to feel scared and happy and sad. Bud had humor and made readers laugh. He also wasn’t that smart witch made it funny, when he hit the bat or when he thought Lefty was a vampire.
