Schools should let you pack your own lunches
Agree Disagree
I think all schools should let you pack your own lunches. First, you might not like what the schools provide for you. If students bring what they want to eat, they will actually eat it and get more nutrition. Also, it costs a lot less money and work for the school when the children make their own lunches. The school doesn’t have to pay chefs to make the lunches. Those are just two reasons why I think kids should bring their own lunches
Some people might disagree with my reasons for allowing students to bring their own lunches. They think kids would bring in food that other children are allergic to. If that happened teachers could set aside a table for kids with allergies. Another reason people might disagree with me is because kids would pack unhealthy lunches. However, schools could make strict guidelines for lunch to ensure students get the proper nutrition. Even though other people make valid points, I still think packed lunches are a lot more reasonable.

This year for spring break I went to Tulum, Mexico. one of the days that I was there, we went on a boat tour into the lagoon behind our house. They drove us way back into the lagoon, to an island they call “Bird Island”. The reason they call it that is because that is where alot of birds migrate to in the winter. My mom wanted to go on the trip because she knows practicly every kind of bird, EVER. We were driving around the island and just in on tree, there would be about 4 or 5 different kinds of birds (10 birds in total). The whole time my mom and the guide were telling us every kind of bird they saw, (alot). Even though I’m not that into birds, this really interested me. I thought it was so cool that all the birds came to this one place and mated, also every bird that grew up on this island would come back when they grew up. My favorite bird that I saw was this pink bird that a beak that lookedlike a big spoon (a rosiet spoonbill, something like that). I loved this trip!

I think that it is really bad that only 30 years ago Georgia was still being mean to African American people. I can’t imagine that Duke Evans would be that mean to Gabe for just being friends with an African American girl. What year did the government force integration on Georgia/the U.S.A.? I think that in the rest of the book, Gabe will keep getting bullied and then he’ll start being like MLK and tell everyone that integration is not such a bad thing, you just have to accept that those people are just like you.

Oh Dell, oh Dell
How I love you,
your eyes as they
lock in on me like
a target.
Your precious yellow-white fur
As soft as the tail
On a bunny.
When you try
to bat at me with
those cute little paws,
your love flows to me
like a river in the summer.
Oh Dell, oh Dell
