I will be studying about what happens inside the brain when a concussion occurs. I also will learn about the advancements that sports companies have made to help prevent concussions. Finally I will figure out what types of damage that can happen to the brain that will affect it forever.

many professional athletes and amateur athletes are suffering from concussions. Whats the big deal? Concussions cause severe brain damage that lasts for the rest of your life. Brain damage like being diagnosed with vision, hearing, and mental disorders. Mental disorders as serious as Alzheimer. Many people are worried about the safety of action sports  and sports companies are doing all they can and using the finest of technology to improve the equipment of sports.

A concussion is typically caused by a severe head trauma during which the brain moves violently within the skull. The brain cells all fire at once, much like a seizure. Some studies show that patients who suffer a concussion appear to have the brain activity of people in a coma.

This is a good website with fair info. This website zeros in on concussions. There is allot more info but this is all that “press this” would allow. Concussions are a big part of sports injuries because they are so common. Concussions can also be very dangerous to the brain.
