I chose my topic, A Greener Earth, because I think that if we don’t save the earth we’re going to end up all living in a bad environment that has awful air and is full of waste. I like animals and if we pollute everywhere the animals will try to eat it and end up getting sick or even worse, death. We are also depleting the world of its natural resources and we can’t replenish those so we need to find alternative fuel sources such as Solar, wind, and water energy.
I first got interested in this topic when I saw the tsunami in Japan. I saw all the pollution and trash floating around and lying on roofs of houses. I started to think about how much it was going to take to clean up all the trash. Some water animals and land animals who survived the tsunami started to eat the trash and all the other harsh chemicals that had been introduced into the water when it was floating by houses and lawns where they use cleaning supplies that are bad for the environment.
