Ode To Snow

Ode to Snow

When I see you

My heart fills up with bliss,

When you come

It is an opportunity I can’t miss

We are not together much but

To you I’m still attached.

The joy I have with you can not be matched.

You bring excitement here,

When you come

You make every one cheer.

Playing in you Feels like playing in love

With you here

 It feels like heaven above.

You are like a blanket covering me in bed,

I feel so safe with you above my head.

I open my mouth

As you flutter into it so light.

You, snow make everything feel right.

Happy

I love life even though it has little problems, but I am glad I don’t have to live like the Somalians. Many things make me happy like soccer, art, books, candy, soda, fruit, ect… If you look on the bright side of life you will find many, many things too. Check Ms. Johnston’s blog and go to First World problems and think about what it tells you. what makes you happy and why?

Famine in Somalia

In the world many bad things are hapaning including the famine in Somalia. In Somalia 6 places were declared famine areas! It is so sad that innocent people are literally starving to death. I want to help so much because, when I hungry I grab something from the refrigerator and they can’t. We have so much food, they would do any thing for our scrapes from dinner.

Mesopotamian Pottery

My essential question is “Why did the Mesopotamians make pottery?” I picked this topic because I love art and I love being creative. Also, I picked this topic because I could make pottery for my physical project. I have learned why the Mesopotamians made pottery and they did for many different reasons.

I learned much about Mesopotamian pottery, how they made it, what they used to carve it, and what it was used for. The Mesopotamians used bone, teeth, shells, metal, rocks, and sharp sticks to carve things in to the pottery like designs and sometimes stories. The pottery was used for holding liquids but the water was held in unpolished pottery to keep it cold. The Mesopotamians also used the pottery to trade for food, jewelry, and clothes. The pottery was made from clay and mud from the ground. The Mesopotamians used many tools, but the most important was the hand. Their pottery was used for trade, storage, and of course beauty.

I learned so much as I was researching Mesopotamian pottery. Before I started researching, I thought that the pottery was just used for beauty and wealth. I think my research went very well. The only thing that I wish I could change is for me to find more resources. I also learned that to show wealth the Mesopotamians buried their pottery with them once they died. Even though I only had two resources, I got lots of information. I’m glad I picked this topic because I had lots of fun while researching this and making the physical project.

Will-A-Way

I had a lot of fun at Will-A-Way. I loved canoeing even though I got soaked! I also loved low ropes it was part fun and part funny to lift people up. I was tempted to do the high ropes but was not old enough.
