Next year we are going to get our own Macbook Airs. I am very excited to get Macs next year because I don’t have a Mac at home and it will help me organize my documents so I can find them easily. It will help me learn better because you can look something when ever you want. Next year I hope to learn to use iMovie better because the last project I made looked really bad. I also hope to learn to research better so I can make better presentations.. I also want to be able to use garageband and make music.
"The man who could fly" Yves Rossy flew over Bex, Switzerland on the jet-powered wings he designed himself.
This man confirms that you can do anything, even fly like a bird. A Swiss man, Yves Rossy, tested his jet-powered wings that he designed. This man flew like a bird over Bex , Switzerland using his jet-powered wings in 2008. He did what some can't even dream to do, he flew like a bird.

Is fantasy the best genre for literature or is sci-fi or is it mysteries? There is no true answer; it just depends on what you like to read, but in my experience, fantasy has better books. Fantasy can take you places where you will never get to go, although sci-fi will do this too, but the places are based off of science and not magic like fantasy. Also mysteries are realistic so there is no thrill besides the danger the characters put themselves in. Also, mysteries are very predictable. When you read a mystery you can usually tell who the bad guy is before the protagonist catches him or her. Personally, magic is more fascinating because nobody understands it, but science, some people understand, and realistic writing everybody understands. This is why fantasy and its magic beneath are better than other genres. Jordan, a fifth grade student, agrees that fantasy is more exciting and sometimes makes him feel on the edge and scared about what is going to happen next. He also agrees that fantasy helps stretch a child’s imagination and creativity. Although some might disagree, they explain that sci-fi can also stretch your imagination and creativity, but in different ways. I like many genres and I have good reasons to like them, but fantasy by far is my favorite.
At the beginning of every school year at Trinity School Atlanta, GA the Sixth Graders come up with an inspiring theme for the school to help shape and build on the student’s moral list of values. For the past couple years the Sixth Graders have come up with great actions. Last year their theme was integrity. Integrity means to be honest in everything you do, even when people aren’t watching you. As you can see, all of these themes are very strong and descriptive.
After sessions of long and hard thinking the Sixth Graders came up with a great theme, Determination! In their first assembly the Sixth Graders think of a fun and memorable way to announce the theme. Usually they put together skits to teach the school how to use the theme properly.
All throughout the school people have been using the theme in all of their activities . Also teachers have been bringing the theme up in all of their classes like P.E, Music, Art, and Language Arts. These are some comments on when the teachers bring the theme up and how well the students use it. The students interviewed Brian Balocki, a P.E coach at Trinity School and this is what he thought about his class and the students. “I can only talk about my class and how much I bring the theme up in my P.E and Values classes.” Admitted Brian. “Also in all of our units we do in P.E class I refer back to the school theme and discus determination.”
We know that teachers bring the theme up in their classes but we still don’t know if the students reflect off of the actions from the theme for the first month or the whole school year. The students at Trinity School went around for the second time but this time they went and asked if the students really remember the theme and if the hold onto it for the whole school year. A third and fifth grade science teacher Susan Edwards said that some students remember the theme throughout the school year. She also thought that most remember it at the beginning of the school year and then has forgotten about it completely. But Miss Gangarosa, an ELD music teacher disagrees; she thinks that everybody remembers the school theme throughout the whole school year every year.
After a long day of interviewing the students asked their final question, does the school theme fit the school? Mrs. McIntosh, a Trinity School Third Grade teacher says “Determination is very important and that you have to keep it in your mind in your everyday activities.” To the school, the theme is very inspiring and important in everything the teachers and students do. They make the theme so all of the people in the school have something to remember and add to their list of moral values.

1. Koly learns to listen and cooperate
with the older widows because they are older and wiser than her. Ex. “You can
sleep here,” she said. “The people in the house will not chase you away.”(pg.#
106) She also learns that money is too precious
as a widow to have unprotected. Ex. “Often I reached down to assure myself that the
rupees were still tied carefully in a corner of my sari and then tucked into my
waist knot.”(pg.#108)
2. The theme is perseverance because
Koly perseveres when Sass leaves her in Vrindavan because she goes to the train
station everyday hoping Sass would come back. She also perseveres because she
knows one day she would be able to buy a house of her own.
3. Koly reads a poem called
Homeless Bird and Koly is like the bird because she is homeless and nobody
wants her. Ex. “We shooed like chickens from the courtyard and out into the
city.”(pg.#122) Sassur predicts his own death,” One day I will walk off across
the fields, and you will see no more of me.”

To me the gift of time is a gift that can never be thanked fully, it is the time out of your life that you give to someone else to share with the world. I gave my little brother the gift of time by going out of my way to make him a toy boat. It all started one day last year, about a week before Christmas when I was playing with a plastic bag and a roll of duct tape. Then I thought about Gibson’s Christmas gift, so I decided to make him a boat. I worked hard on it for about an hour, but finally it was done, a duct tape boat. when Christmas arrived I was so excited for him to open the gift from me, when the moment finally arrived he tore open the wrapping paper and the look on his face was priceless. My gift wasn’t only the boat, but also the time I took to make it.
There were small shadows coming from the windows as leaves fell in front of the sun light. As I rolled over in bed I heard my mom’s hasty movement downstairs, and the wiring of the fan above me. It was humid under my thick blankets and I had sweats and a long sleeve shirt on (which was no help).
I felt the heat of the stove as I sat at the kitchen table; my mom was making the turkey for Thanksgiving Day dinner. My mom asked me to help her with the homemade cranberry sauce. Now I could really feel the full heat of the stove as I stood next to it to make the cranberry sauce. After I made the sauce I set the table with forks, knives, spoons, and glasses. After I set the table I went upstairs to get nicer clothes on so I would look good for the guests. Then I came back downstairs and sat at the kitchen table to watch my mom prepare the rest of the food for all the guests that were just arriving. One of my aunts helped my mom make the food that was almost ready, my dad and my uncles watched Thanksgiving Day football, and us kids were outside running around. We were outside for a while, playing tag and football which ended in an argument between my older brother and I. Eventually we all got tired of playing so we went inside to eat. As I sat down I saw the warm, steaming food at l my seat next to my brother and my cousin Brenan. I was so tempted to eat because the food looked so good; there was warm, juicy turkey, crunchy green beans, soft, salty, potatoes, and sweet homemade cranberry sauce, but I knew that we had to ask the blessing. After our dinner we thanked my mom and my aunt for dinner, then I went outside with my cousins to play some football until we had another argument, this time between my sister and my little brother, so we went inside for snacks. After snacks we went back outside to play tag until everybody had to leave. That night in bed I thought about how much fun that thanksgiving was.

My essential question is what are the most important gods, and why? I chose this topic because I really like mythology and want to learn all I can about it.I also enjoyed learning about Gilgamesh in class, I look forward to learning all I can.
My essential question’s answer is easy, the three most important that I learned about are the gods Tiamat, Marduk, and Enlil They are important because they all helped create the earth. Tiamat is a monster and was the mother of the gods. She was also the goddess of the ocean. Tiamat married the god of fresh water, Abzu. Together they created the water on earth. I have read that there is two parts to the Tiamat myth, in the first Tiamat is mix of salt and fresh water, peacefully creating nature through the generations. In the second Tiamat is a monster of chaos. Marduk was the god of light and life. Marduk was also the creator of the earth. He made the earth by killing the mother Goddesses Tiamat and using half of her body to create the earth and the other half to create both the paradise of heaven and the nether. He also defeated Kingu, along with Tiamat, the dragon of chaos, and gaining supreme power. Marduk was known as the creator of the universe and humankind. Enlil was the air god and head of the house of the gods. He is also the father of the gods and king of heaven and earth. The earth god Enlil was banished to the world of the dead for attacking the grain goddess, Ninlil. Their child was the Moon god, Sin. Enlil was the son of the gods An and Ki, he assumed most of An’s powers. He is the father of gods and the king of heaven. He is one of the most important Mesopotamian gods.
The making of the project was pretty fun, but it was also very hard. It was especially hard for me because I had to start over on the second day so I had less time. But it was pretty cool to learn about the Mesopotamian gods and goddesses. Overall I think it was pretty fun.
